Beer in a Can > Beer in a Bottle?

I was checking my Facebook account the other day and ran into a post from the Oregon Brewers Festival page. The link led me to this article about beer in cans - something I've been touting an necessary for some time.

As an avid rafter / beach goer, I frequently find myself outdoors, around water, and with limited carrying space. Cans are the perfect solution to this, and, despite the rumors, the beer is actually better from a can. My whole family is a bunch of river rats, and I can remember taking Caldera Pale down the river in a can a few years back. Since, we typically buy the stuff about 10 cases at a time for multi-day river trips, and I encourage all my guiding friends to do the same thing.

I also understand that New Belgium, Oskar Blues, and a few others are showing up in cans around Portland. If anyone sends me a free sample I'll make sure I buy that beer for my next river trip!
